Panos Barous studied photography and visual arts at FOCUS, School of arts and digital imaging.

While still a student, he won the 3^rd prize in ELLE magazine’s annual talent contest and started collaborating with model agencies (Agence Unique, Models One) and the free press magazine OZON on fashion editorials.

In the following years, he became a freelance photographer for the biggest magazines of Greece (ELLE, BHMADONNA, BHMAGAZINO, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, MUSE, etc). His work included fashion, portraits, still life, architecture,interiors etc.  During the same period his collaboration with foreign publications offered him the opportunity to do portraits of international artists such as John Digweed, Pink Martini, Hiroshi Watanabe among others.

Panos has  worked for BENETTON,  SISLEY and CAMPER open houses for several years, collaborated with H&M, Gant, L’OREAL, La Roche-Posay, Korres etc. and covered major events as an official photographer for NIKE, Google Greece, YouTube Global, VALUECOM and TravelPlanet24 with assignments to Paris, Jordan, London and Boudapest.

Since 2011, Panos has found the way to combine two of his favourite themes, Landscape and Architecture, as a photographer of eminent hotels and resorts around Greece, like West East Suites, 270 Oia’s View and Nicoletta houses in Santorini,  Nissia in Spetses and several others in Crete. Some photos from his hotel projects have been published in international publications such as Travel+Leisure, Instyle, Buzzfeed.

Upcoming project : ‘Ippostassio/Stud’, is a compilation of horse portraits,for a future exhibition.
